Hopadoo Learning Quest Support

Educational learning app for ages 6–9. Help with getting started, levels, stars and progress — and how to reach us.

Hopadoo Learning Quest is a learning app for children ages 6–9 from Hopadoo Tales, made by MJ Labs. Kiki, Tuba, Pico and Mimi host activities in math, reading and language, science, logic, patterns, memory, strategy and problem solving. No account or login is required — the app is ready to play as soon as it is installed.

Hopadoo Learning Quest is available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad: Download on the App Store.

Getting started

Open the app and you are on the Home screen. There is nothing to set up: no account to create, no sign-in, no name or age to enter. Tap a learning world to see its activities, then tap an activity to start playing. A small “For Parents” icon on the Home screen opens a plain information page for grown-ups, including the app’s privacy policy.

Choosing a learning world

Each Hopadoo friend hosts a world with its own focus:

  • Pico’s Discovery Lab — science, observation and thinking (for example Color Hunt, Pattern Detective, Shape Logic and Science Sort).
  • Tuba’s Math Town — counting, number recognition, addition, subtraction and missing numbers.
  • Mimi’s Word Meadow — reading and language: word building, vocabulary and sentence scrambles.
  • Kiki’s Challenge Park — memory, directions and logic mazes.

Children can move between worlds freely. There is no fixed order and nothing is locked.

Difficulty levels

Most activities offer Easy, Medium and Hard. Pick a level before starting; the app suggests a starting level, and you can change it any time you begin a new session. A couple of introductory activities are labelled “Starter” and have a single gentle level. Grid activities in Kiki’s world step up in size instead (for example 3×3, 4×4, 5×5). Ages are never shown to the child.

Answer feedback and Continue

A wrong tap never ends a question. The child sees a friendly “try again” and keeps choosing until they find the right answer, so every session reaches the end. Once the answer is found, tap Continue to move to the next question. A question counts towards the score when it is answered correctly on the first try.

Stars and progress

Finishing a session always earns at least one Hopadoo Star: one for completing, two for a score of 80% or better, and three for a flawless run. Wrong answers cost nothing — they only mean fewer bonus stars. The results screen shows the score and stars, with options to play again, go back to the world, or return home.

For each activity, the app remembers how many sessions were completed, the best score, the hardest level finished, the best star rating and when it was last played, so a child can see their progress and try to beat it.

Using the app offline

Hopadoo Learning Quest works entirely offline. Everything is included when the app is installed, it makes no network connections, and it does not need Wi-Fi or mobile data to play — on a flight, in the car, or anywhere else.

Progress stored on the device

Learning progress is stored only in the app’s private storage on the iPhone or iPad it is played on. There is no account and no cloud service, so progress does not sync between devices and is never sent to us. If the device is set to back up app data (for example iCloud Backup), the progress record may be included in that backup under the device owner’s own account.

What happens if the app is reinstalled

Deleting the app removes its stored progress from the device. Reinstalling starts fresh, unless the device restores the app’s data from the owner’s own device backup. We do not hold a copy of any progress, so we are not able to restore it for you.

Privacy

The app collects no personal information, has no advertising, no analytics, no tracking, no in-app purchases and no social features. The full details are in the official Hopadoo Learning Quest privacy policy on mjlabs.biz — the same policy shown inside the app under For Parents.

Troubleshooting

  • The app will not open or freezes. Close it fully and reopen it. If that does not help, restart the iPhone or iPad.
  • Text or buttons look cut off. Make sure the latest version of the app is installed from the App Store and that the device is running a current version of iOS or iPadOS. The app is designed for portrait orientation.
  • Progress has disappeared. Progress is stored on the device only. It is removed if the app is deleted, and does not transfer to a different device.
  • Still stuck? Email us with the device model, iOS/iPadOS version, and what happened, and we will help.
